Privacy Policy & Cookie Choices

Last updated Thursday, September 17, 2026 (2026-10-18).

1. Summary

Airline Fleet Monitor does not ask you to create an account, does not require you to sign in, does not sell personal data, and does not build a marketing profile of you.

With your consent, the site uses Google Analytics to count aggregate visitors and Google AdSense to show contextual advertising. Both are off until you choose. You can refuse with one click by selecting “Accept required”, and you can change your mind at any time.

2. Hosting and Server Logs

The site is hosted globally on Cloudflare Pages and Workers. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical network telemetry such as your IP address, browser type, and requested URLs to serve cached edge pages and defend against malicious DDoS traffic. That technical processing is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

3. Search and Local Calculations

Universal site search and analytical calculations (including ETOPS range rings, crosswind vectors, cockpit guides, and baggage dimensions) execute entirely client-side inside your browser. Your searches and inputs are never dispatched to an external server. The platform stores nothing on your device other than the consent preference outlined below.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The site sets no cookies on your initial visit. Your consent choice is stored locally in your browser storage under the key afm_consent, not in a cookie. Before you make an explicit choice, the site sets no cookies, does not load Google Analytics or Google AdSense, and transfers no data to third parties. Google Consent Mode v2 is configured in a denied state by default.

Name Purpose Duration Provider Needs Consent
afm_consent (local storage) Remembers your consent decision and timestamp so the prompt is not shown on every page. Holds no personal identifier. Valid for 180 days, then we ask again This site No (Honours choice)
_ga, _ga_* Distinguishes unique visitors and preserves session state to count anonymous traffic metrics. 2 years Google Analytics Yes (Analytics)
__gads, __gpi, IDE Serves and measures contextual ads, enforces frequency capping, and prevents fraud. Up to 13 months Google AdSense Yes (Advertising)

5. Analytics

If you choose “Accept all”, Google Analytics 4 records page views and interactions (such as aircraft lookups, tool calculations, and data downloads) along with high-level technical data such as browser type, approximate geographic region from IP, and referrer.

We enforce IP anonymization and disable Google advertising personalization signals within analytics. Google acts as our processor for this aggregate data. If you choose “Accept required”, no analytics script is loaded and zero tracking telemetry leaves your device.

6. Advertising

If you accept advertising, Google AdSense delivers contextual ads in designated slots marked with advertisement labels. Slots use reserved dimensional containers to prevent cumulative layout shift (CLS). Google operates as an independent controller under its own partner terms.

Advertisements never appear on search result interfaces or utility tools without clear labeling. If you choose “Accept required”, no advertising script is executed and ad containers remain empty. You can also customize Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

A dialog asks for your choice on your first visit: Accept required or Accept all. Both buttons share identical visual weight and size, and “Accept required” gives you unrestricted access to the complete site without any degradation in functionality.

We remember your selection for 180 days, after which we will ask again. If your browser transmits the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal and you have not previously recorded a choice, we treat it as an automatic refusal and do not display the dialog.

You can review or change your consent choice at any time by clicking the button below or using the “Cookie choices” link in the page footer:

8. Public Aviation Telemetry and Open Radio Signals

All commercial flight tracks, Mode S hex transponder identifiers, airframe registrations, and manufacturer serial numbers displayed on Airline Fleet Monitor originate from unencrypted open radio transmissions broadcast over public airwaves (ADS-B on 1090 MHz) and official public civil aviation registries (FAA, EASA, UK CAA, ICAO Doc 8643).

9. Your Privacy Rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), you have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent at any time without penalty.

We do not sell personal information or share personal data across cross-context behavioral platforms. For inquiries regarding data protection, contact us at [email protected].
